The Front-End Developer Series

The Front-End Developer Series is a set of classes that students can enroll in over a four-month period. In this series of classes, students will have the opportunity to learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git  and other key frameworks used by front-end developers. By offering a series of interrelated courses, we can offer a more meaningful and comprehensive introduction to coding.

Why should I take the Front-End Developer Series?

This series offers the opportunity to gain exposure to front-end technologies in a safe and comfortable learning environment. GDI classes aren’t just lectures. Our instructors will lead students through the basics of each language before offering coding assignments, which allows students to try out everything they learn in class. Teaching Assistants (TAs) will be available to answer any questions or problems students may encounter.

How do I enroll in the program?

Start by taking the Intro to HTML/CSS class to decide if the series is right for you. If it is, then sign up for the Kickoff and Website Publishing class. Each student will be responsible for registering and paying for each class individually via Meetup. When you have finished all the classes in the series, then you can apply for a certificate.

Can I still take individual classes if I don’t sign up for the entire series?

Of course! In addition,  you may decide to take all the classes in the series over more than one season. Our goal is to make coding accessible to you.

Note: Girl Develop It serves women who are 18 years of age or older.
